On August 24, 2025, the Chinese American Association of Greater Chicago (CAAGC) ((大芝加哥地区华侨华人联合会) held its election for the 13th President and Executive Council at Lao Sichuan in Chicago’s Chinatown. Following an open and transparent voting process, Mr. Zhengdong Huang, Director of Landing Law Offices Chicago, was elected as the 13th President of CAAGC with a decisive majority.

During the election, the two presidential candidates each delivered campaign speeches outlining their visions and policy agendas. After the presentations, voting proceeded in an orderly, fair, and transparent manner. Ultimately, Mr. Huang won the support of the majority of members and was declared the new President of CAAGC.

Upon the announcement of results, both candidates warmly shook hands, reflecting the spirit of unity, friendship, and mutual support that has long characterized CAAGC.

Following his election, President Huang remarked in an interview:
“No matter the challenges that lie ahead, no matter the pressure we may face, I will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all of you—resolutely, fearlessly, and tirelessly—to make CAAGC more united, stronger, and more impactful.”

He currently serves as President of the Hubei Association of Chicago and as Legal Counsel to CAAGC and the Association of Chinese Scientists and Engineers USA (ACSE), among other community organizations. His active involvement has made significant contributions to the prosperity of the Chinese community in Chicago and to the promotion of U.S.–China economic cooperation and cultural exchange.
