  • Provided legal services for a Singapore-based operator of a remote control app targeting Southeast Asia in relation to overseas data compliance. The overseas jurisdictions involved include Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and India. Services included preparing a research report on the overview of the data legal system,extraterritorial application of specialized data legislation, the legal basis for the processing of personal information, obligations of data controllers,rights of data subjects, as well as requirements for data localization and cross-border data transmission, to assist clients in making business layout and decisions.
  • Provided legal services for an IoT-based app operator targeting South Asia,Southeast Asia, and Central Asia, specializing in engineering machinery. The overseas jurisdictions involved include India, Thailand, the Philippines,Vietnam, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan. Services included preparing a research report on risks related to the processing of GPS device data, data processing risks of vehicle control app, data localization and cross-border transmission,and certification systems and market access related to GPS devices, to help clients understand overseas compliance requirements and optimize their business layout.
  • Provided domestic and overseas data compliance legal services to a large fashion e-commerce app operator. Services included establishing a compliance framework for data security governance and drafting corresponding institutional documents; conducting research on data protection legislation in South Korea,preparing a research report, and making necessary amendments to the Privacy Policy; assessing the risk of data export; conducting research on data protection legislation in Italy, Japan, California (US), and Hong Kong, and preparing a report on the risks and compliance measures related to the processing of employee personal information by data leak prevention equipment.
  • Provided specialized legal services for data compliance to a provincial data exchange center, including issuing compliance opinions for nine data products,with transactions involving over RMB 30 million, designing transaction documents (membership agreement, data product or service agreement templates),and providing consultation and recommended solutions for data transaction compliance processes.
  • Provided legal services for data compliance to a large financial technology company. Services included assessing legal risks related to non-full deduction,four data processing models, and APP transfer, as well as drafting and revising relevant files such as data security commitment letters, data processing entrustment agreements, and data authorization documents.
